What is GAINA Industrial?

GAINA Industrial is an advanced ceramic coating engineered for energy management and structural protection in demanding environments. Its ceramic microsphere technology reduces heat absorption and helps maintain stable internal temperatures across industrial facilities.

Good to know

  • Finish: Low-sheen / matte.
  • Tools: Airless (e.g., 517–521 tip @ ~1800–2200 psi), 12–20 mm nap rollers, quality brushes.
  • Maintenance: Annual soft-wash; repair mechanical damage promptly to preserve a continuous film.
  • Blocks solar impact: Helps block up to 95% of harmful solar effects to cut heat gain and improve thermal stability.
  • Operational resilience: Ultra-thin, lightweight film applies easily with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Asset life & safety: Supports lower cooling loads, extends asset lifespan, and enhances workplace comfort and safety.
  • Environmental durability: Protection against heat, noise, and environmental wear; supports sustainability goals.
  • Odour & sound benefits: Offers odour control and sound-dampening advantages in sensitive areas.
  • Industrial & commercial buildings – roofs, façades, plant rooms.
  • Thermal & energy-sensitive areas – process halls, top-floor spaces, sun-exposed envelopes.
  • Infrastructure & structural surfaces – water tanks, pipelines, concrete surfaces.
  • Industrial construction – containers, cladding, and ancillary structures.

How to Apply

  1. Check conditions: Apply at 10–35 °C; RH < 85%; substrate < 40 °C; ensure no rain/heavy dew for 6 h post-application.
  2. Surface prep: Pressure-wash and dry. Remove loose coatings; treat algae/mould. Spot-prime bare steel with an anti-corrosive primer; prime galvanised/aluminium per spec; stabilise friable/porous concrete or plaster with a masonry/bonding primer.
  3. Mix: Stir gently but thoroughly (avoid air entrainment). Box multiple tins for consistency.
  4. Apply: Airless spray, roller, or brush. Detail laps/penetrations first. Apply two uniform coats; apply the second cross-directionally after recoat time. In high-movement joints or cracks, embed reinforcing membrane where specified.
  5. Coverage (guide): ~4–6 m²/L/coat to reach performance film build. Typically 2 coats (3 in extreme exposure).
  6. Dry & recoat: Touch-dry 45–90 min @ 23 °C; recoat 3–6 h; full cure 7–10 days (conditions dependent).
  7. Clean-up: Water; dispose responsibly.
